Hydration

It is a fact, that 60% of our human bodies are comprised of water. Water is essential to our survival, especially in temperate climates such as South Florida. Water keeps our bodies from overheating by sweating out the heat from muscles during exercise. The evaporation of sweat cools the tissues underneath. Understanding the effects of proper hydration and the loss of fluids during exercise, is essential to maintaining proper organ function and peak performance levels.
Nutrition

Nutrition is essential to life, and as it pertains to soccer, performance is directly correlated to proper diet and eating habits. While there is no specific diet which meets the needs of all soccer players, there is a balance which needs to be attained in order to achieve proper training objectives, limit the incidence of injuries and in fact, promote the expedient recovery of muscles after exertion. All athletes must learn to understand their own bodies and the necessary energy requirements needed for proper health.
Exercises

Exercise is the physical exertion the body performs with any type of activity. This serves multiple purposes, including: improving heart health, strengthening muscles, weight loss and the prevention of certain diseases. In fact, it also provides positive effects on mental health. The benefits are limitless and can be generally performed anywhere. These fall into three main categories: aerobic exercises, anaerobic exercises and flexibility exercises. In soccer, these exercises can be performed to increase accuracy, agility, power and speed. Regardless of the type of exercise, the benefits are proven and in soccer, all these forms are combined in a planned program in order to enhance performance objectives.
