2015 KELME CUP BOYS SHOWCASE
The spectacular North Collier Regional Park in the beautiful city of Naples, Florida, was the site of our second tournament competition, the 2015 Kelme Cup Boy’s Showcase. Our fabled FUTSOC ENIGMA U18/19 premier elite squad entered as prohibitive favorites of this yearly event, and they certainly did not disappoint.
Opening group play with consecutive victories over highly ranked opponents Boynton Beach Knights FC (5::0) and FC Plant City Elite (4::2), ENIGMA proceeded to crush their next opponent - Inter Academy Florida FC, by an 8::0 margin, giving passage into the championship match against Davie United SC. A very lopsided match in ENIGMA’s favor, was not reflected in the final score, but it held up to the end as our opponent opted to play defensively the entire match. ENIGMA was easily victorious by the minimal score of 1::0, resulting in our second consecutive tournament victory this very early season.
The tournament was a great success and served to prepare us for the upcoming highly rated and very prestigious Weston Cup and Showcase tournament, despite the fact that we had recently lost two very important starting players (right wing back Joey Piga and inside center back Tim Deater) to potential season-ending injuries. Furthermore, with the continuing participation by 11 of our starters in state regional playoff high school play, the team showed signs of fatigue and misfired on both ends of the field. Despite this, the squad was able to offset this factors and secure convincing victories in each match.
Once again, led by goalkeeper Orel Cohen, who recorded three “clean sheets” and only allowed two goals in the net (not charged to him) and anchored by solid defensive play by Myke Zamor, Alejandro Pages, Raheem Flemming, Gabriel Gonzalez and Daniel Atilano, Wadson Laurant and newly acquired Elijah Kerr, opponents struggled in every match to make penetration into our defensive third. On the other end, superb play once again from attacker Romelaire Ambroise who led all scorers with eight (8) goals, guided a surgical attack which produced eighteen tally’s in only four matches.
Player of the tournament was Romelaire Ambroise, who scored eight goals in leading our most formidable attack.
Game 1- Boynton Beach Knights FC: Goals scored: Romelaire Ambroise (3), Jefferson Souza (1), Stanley Theodore (1)
Game 2- Plant City Elite FC: Goals scored: Romelaire Ambroise (2), Jimpson Morency (1), Stanley Theodore (1)

Game 4- Davie United FC: Goals scored: Romelaire Ambroise (1)
